Our office team is growing and we are pleased to welcome our amazing former caregiver Salomi Galodamu as the Assistant Care Case Manager. We love to promote from within and compliments on her personality, skillset, and drive kept flooding into the office so we knew she would be well-suited for the position.
Salomi was born in Fiji and raised with a solid family-centered approach. Her journey in caregiving started in high school, as her parent’s were caregivers themselves and involved her early in this field. She provided companionship to family members and, with time, transitioned to providing hands-on caregiving support. Rooted in the Fijian tradition of caring for elders, Salomi found it natural to dedicate herself to helping others, a passion she carried into her formal education and work experiences. She treats her caregiving work with the same respect and care she would want for her own family.
Salomi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from UC Santa Cruz and was a student ambassador and athlete at College of Marin before she transferred. These roles allowed her to connect with people from all walks of life.
Salomi discovered Cheer Home Care on Indeed while searching for an opportunity to advance her skills in a professional environment. As she starts her first formal office role, she looks forward to contributing to Cheer’s team and supporting various responsibilities, including recruitment, scheduling, and assisting Care Managers. With dreams of becoming a travel nurse one day, Salomi sees her role at Cheer as a valuable step on her career path.
Salomi enjoys the outdoors, be it camping, kayaking, hiking, or playing beach volleyball. She’s also an avid traveler who loves discovering new places, Big Sur being one of her favorites to date. Her adventurous spirit and love for connection shine through in all aspects of her life, both personal and professional.
Please join us in welcoming Salomi to the Cheer Home Care family!
